AAA Info Day 2011, 13.1.2011, Bern

Christoph Graf, SWITCH:

"Good Morning! My name is Christoph Graf and I'm welcoming you on behalf of SWITCH to the AAA Info Day 2011!
The AAA/SWITCH project started quite some time ago: in spring 2008. It was planned as a 4-year project and got extended by one year.
We are now 3 years into the project with 2 years left. At the beginning of the project, our focus was on getting projects off the ground in all the domains supported by AAA/SWITCH.
Together, we achieved this successfully!
We then focussed on building links between originally isolated islands of activity. Together we achieved this as well and created many follow-up projects based on earlier results.
With another two years to go, there is still time to start new initiatives, but the end of the funding period is clearly looming.
And our focus has to shift towards making all our achievements sustainable.
My colleagues worked hard to prepare for the 4th AAA Information Day. I hope you will find the programme interesting. I wish you a successful day of networking, thanks!"
