How to get to SWITCH

Useful and detailed information for our visitors.

From Zurich (ZRH) airport

At Zurich airport, follow the signs to the train station. Buy a ticket to Zurich HB (main station). Trains to the center of Zurich leave every 10 to 15 minutes, the trip takes about 10 minutes. The ticket purchased at the airport is valid in the trams too up until the time printed on it.

Go to exit Bahnhofplatz (E4 on map) and board the tram no. 3 (in direction of Albisrieden) or no. 14 (in direction of Triemli). Get off at the third stop "Stauffacher".Turn right and walk back on Badenerstrasse for about 100 m. The house Werdstrasse 2 is situated to your right at the corner of the junction.

		How to get to SWITCH by car

By car

From the direction of Schaffhausen or St. Gallen

Follow the signs to Zürich to begin with and then the signs to Zürich-City. Turn left at the end of the Milchbuck tunnel. Follow the right-hand bend at the hotel and continue along the road. At the next set of traffic lights, turn left and then, immediately after the bridge, turn right again. You will now be directed around the station. Follow the road and then turn left into Gessnerallee. At the next crossroads, turn right and then, immediately after the bridge, left into Kasernenstrasse. Drive to the end of Kasernenstrasse and then continue straight on after the crossroads. On the right-hand side you will see SWITCH's Werdstrasse building and the entrance to the SWITCH car park (Stauffacher Tor).

From the direction of Berne or Basel

Follow the signs to Zürich then, once you reach "Limmattaler Kreuz", the signs for Zürich City. Turn off the road in the direction of Hardturm and drive along Bernerstrasse Süd (A3). Turn half right into Hardturmstrasse (A3), always following the directions for Escher-Wyss-Platz. There are now two possible routes to SWITCH:

Via Zurich Main Station

Take the third road leading off Escher-Wyss-Platz, signposted to Höngg, and drive over the Hardbrücke bridge. After the bridge, turn right into Hönggerstrasse, which becomes Wasserwerkstrasse, and follow the road straight on in the direction of "City-See". Continue straight on after the first set of traffic lights and, at the second set of lights, turn sharp right before the hotel. Follow the road up to the next lights, where you should turn left and then, immediately after the bridge, turn right. You will now be taken around the station. Continue along the road and then turn left into Gessnerallee. At the next crossroads, turn right over the bridge and, immediately after the bridge, turn left into Kasernenstrasse. Drive along to the end of Kasernenstrasse and continue straight on after the crossroads. On the right-hand side you will see the entrance to the SWITCH car park (Stauffacher Tor).

Via Hardplatz

Take the first road leading off Escher-Wyss-Platz and continue along Hard-Brücke, later Hardstrasse. After Hardplatz, turn left into Bullingerstrasse and then, at the next crossroads (Bullingerplatz), turn right into Sihlfeldstrasse. At the next junction turn left into Badenerstrasse and continue along this road until it joins Werdstrasse, where you should turn left. Before this road joins Kasernenstrasse, you will see the entrance to the SWITCH car park on the right (Stauffacher Tor).

Please contact us on your mobile phone so that we can give you further instructions. Alternatively, you should drive down to the third basement level to just in front of the orange SWITCH garage door and ring the bell there. We can then advise you on which parking space is free.
