SWITCH now provides a visual display of its domain names on an interactive map of Switzerland. The map shows the distribution of domain names ending in .ch. An enquiry can be made for a specific municipality.

Domain names made visible
The evaluation summarises all the domain names that have been registered within a municipality. This is also the calculation basis adopted for the cities. Click on a municipality and you will be shown information on the number of domains registered there and the domain density. Or enter your own individual search enquiry.
One in ten inhabitants of Switzerland has a domain name ending in .ch. The regional differences in terms of absolute figures and also in relation to population numbers are quite surprising.  Number of registered domain names: Zurich has been top of the list since 1999, ahead of Berne and Basel. |
