The ten most popular websites for the SWITCH Junior Web Award 2009

April 28, 2009 / Marco D'Alessandro

From 6 until 26 April 2009, the public were able to cast their votes in this national competition for schoolchildren.

More than 45,000 votes

All in all, more than 45,000 votes were cast on the www.juniorwebaward.ch website! We’ll only be announcing the project that received the biggest number of votes at the award ceremony in Zurich on 23 June 2009. This school class will then receive the Public Prize.

The result of the public vote accounts for one third of the overall assessment, with the remaining two thirds being determined by the assessment of the "Best of Swiss Web" jury. Five attractive prizes are awarded in each category (primary school and secondary school levels I and II). The Jury Prize goes to the school class whose website appealed most to the jury.

The following websites made it into the top ten
