SWITCH and wikileaks.ch
SWITCH, the registry for .ch Internet addresses, is currently receiving a large number of enquiries as to the circumstances under which SWITCH would delete wikileaks.ch. This is governed by law. As the registry for .ch and .li domain names, SWITCH is not responsible for the content of websites. Whether the content of wikileaks.ch is of relevance for criminal law is a matter for the courts to decide on.

High-density Swiss web: 1.5 million .ch addresses registered
A total of 1.5 million web addresses with the ending .ch are registered in Switzerland. The country thus has one of the highest levels of coverage with Internet addresses anywhere in the world. SWITCH, the registry for .ch and .li addresses, is welcoming the 1.5 millionth website with a gift.

No students recognize it, though everyone uses it. The AAI system from SWITCH networks the majority of university services and permits access with a single central login. AAI is five years old today. As a private person it is still a distant dream, for students it is already reality: one login for everything. AAI is the Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure developed by the SWITCH foundation and the universities.

The website competition for school classes is meeting with a high level of interest in all four language regions of Switzerland. Today, it is being launched for the fifth time round. The competition is aimed at teachers interested in designing a website with their class. The purpose of the competition is to promote the internet and media competence of the younger generation.

Correction of deliberate misinformation about SWITCH
