The best websites of Swiss school classes at Zurich Main Railway Station

May 15, 2010 / Marco D'Alessandro

On Tuesday, 25 May 2010, the SWITCH Foundation will host the fourth prize-giving ceremony for the SWITCH Junior Web Award in Zurich Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof Zürich). More than 2000 children and young people from all over Switzerland have taken part in this nationwide website competition for school classes.

At the prize-giving ceremony, 300 pupils will be treated to a celebration of a special kind in a Bubble. This Bubble symbolises the internet and thus allows children to "experience" it.

In April 2010, the public were able to cast their votes on www.JuniorWebAward.ch, and more than 25,000 votes were cast for the most popular projects. The result of this vote accounts for one third of the overall assessment. The other two thirds are made up by the opinion of the jury.
