Digital Repository System Fedora - State and Outlook

After the first meeting in March 2009 we are happy to announce the next event of the darcunite! series. This event is jointly organized by SWITCH and Docuteam.

The main topic of the second event is the repository system Fedora (http://www.fedora-commons.info). It is a great pleasure for us to announce our main speaker Thornton Staples, Director of Community Outreach and Alliances of Fedora. Thornton is involved with the Fedora project since 2001. After a short overview of Fedora, he will talk about its current state, future developments and the new cooperation initiative with DSpace (see http://duraspace.org/).

The target audience are persons involved with building or operating repositories at libraries, universities, archives or companies. The event is free of charge and the event language is english.
