|Ticket Description:||Access to University of Geneva interrupted|
Problem Description:SWITCH NOC noticed that both access to the University of Geneva are not sending routing updates. Both BGP sessions are down.
Therefore no traffic is passing to/from UniGE. The physical access interfaces on swiGE1 and swiGE2 are operational, but no traffic is flowing.
Affected:From 2008-09-17 11:17 until 2008-09-17 11:57
Impact: Total loss of connectivity
Now also the backup peering on swiGE1 has been re-established. We advised the customer to perform a primary/backup switchover test.
The primary BGP peering on swiGE2 with UniGE is up.
The backup BGP peering on swiGE1 is still down.
SWITCH then call AH. He's aware of the problem and working on it.
SWITCH-NOC alerts DS. He's not at work
