Since 05:00 EHL router rtrLAFH1 (Cablecom VPN) not reachable.

From 2007-2-27 5:00 until 2007-3-1 6:45
Impact: Total loss of connectivity

Connectivity to EHL has been fully restored. The planned link replacement didn't take place. The already planned maintence work to replace a DTP ring by a fixed link in the Cablecom network in Lausanne fixed the problem.

Cablecom key account manager informs SWITCH about next planned steps. SWITCH informs EHL contact.
Cablecom will try to replace the link between EHL and the head-end.

Cablecom reloaded the MPLS PE router mlrLAU003, however this reload didn't restore the connectivity.

Troubleshooting is still ongoing. Cablecom and SWITCH engineers are working with absolute priority on the case. Cablecom suspects the problem on its MPLS backbone between the PE "mlrLAU003" and the MPLS core. The case has also been escalated at Cablecom management.

The last night the replacement router has been installed by EHL staff and powered up. The router is now reachable via the directly connected PE router. However the customer network (EHL) is not yet reachable.

The replacement router is ready (plug&play) and received by Cablecom Zurich. They will contact the customer at EHL and arrange the delivery and installation time.

Troubleshooting still ongoing. Router replacement is required. According to Cablecom replacement hardware is not yet available. SWITCH will help out Cablecom and provide a router from its stock.

Cablecom has been provided with site contact and setup information. Cablecom mobilised a field technician. Expected on-site arrival time not yet known.
