Today, on October 24th, the SWITCHtoolbox is officially launched. The service can be used by all members (researchers, students, teachers, staff) of Swiss Universities without additional fees. During the 3-months beta phase the SWITCHtoolbox was thoroughly tested and seriously used by hundreds of users in dozens of groups. Many bugs were solved, and useful feedback has been collected to improve the service. SWITCHtoolbox version 1.0 has now reached production grade and can be recommended to be used for serious applications. |
