Classroom VMs

At ZHAW students at the engineering faculty in Zurich that are in the Web Engineering course, will use prepared Virtual Machine images with all components ready to deploy node.js server programs.

Using the SWITCHengines cloud, the lecturer can build an environment that holds all the necessary components, correctly installed and configured, baked into an image that is used to spawn a virtual machine for each student. This lessens the administrative burden of having to troubleshoot 20 different installations and lets the students focus on programming web servers, while still giving them an environment that mimicks a real-world deployment.
