How to use SWITCH PWLAN

Students, staff and researchers at the SWITCH PWLAN universities can now surf on the Internet free-of-charge at more than 2000 public hotspots. SWITCH PWLAN is a service provided by SWITCHconnect. It is based on its collaboration with the Wireless Internet Service Providers of Monzoon Networks, Swisscom, TheNet and the SWITCH PWLAN universities. The intention is to extend the service to all the Swiss universities.

Popular hotspot locations can be found at railway stations, airports, in hotels, restaurants and cafes, in all branches of McDonald’s and Starbucks, as well as in public areas or even along entire roads. Wherever and whenever possible: SWITCH PWLAN allows you to study and work at a large number of key points between your home and your university.
