Problem Description:

DANTE has announced that they will upgrade the operating software of their Geneva router, rt1.gen.ch.geant.net, in the morning of 15 February. This will cause a service outage of that router of about 30 minutes. Our GÉANT service as a whole should not be impacted thanks to our redundant connection to another GÉANT router.

Impact: no impact
Connectivity to other research networks will use the GÉANT backup path. If that fails, there will still be backup over our "commodity" transit providers.
Update: Traffic used the GEANT backup path during the given time frame.
