How to Obtain a SLCS Certificate?

You must do the following steps in order to obtain a SWITCHslcs certificate:

• • If you know your SWITCHaai account: Contact the administrator of your Identity Provider and ask for access to the SLCS service [contact information here].
  • If you don't know your SWITCHaai account: Contact the administrator of your Identity Provider [contact information here].
  • If your organization is not member of the SWITCHaai federation: Unfortunately you cannot obtain a certificate in this case.

• Once you have registered for the service, you can generate your own SLCS certificate from the command line. Read the description of the command line tool [slcs-init] in order to learn how to do that [read User's FAQ #3 here or read chapter 2 and 3 of the user manual].

• If your host does not have the slcs-init tool installed, you must install it yourself. Read Technician's FAQ #4 here or see chapter 4 of the user manual for installation instructions.
