Problem Description:

The Géant primary AP is down since 23:51, Sunday July 1st. The reason is a hardware failure on the Géant equipment.
The Géant NREN IP traffic is routed over backup path, but all L2 services to or via Géant are down.

Impact: Total loss of connectivity

Sites: All L2 services to or via Géant.

Géant has replaced the faulty hardware.
All services have been restored.

GÉANT has identified a hardware failure on their routing equipment at CERN. The vendor was notified and replacement hardware is on its way. No estimated time of arrival is available yet.
