Ticket Description: SWITCHlambda PoP Uni Bern "Tierspital" UPS power unavailable

Problem Description:

Since today 9:28 the management access for the SWITCHlambda DWDM amplifiers is interrupted. After local investigation by the University of Bern IT-Staff the problem is caused by the defective rack-mounted UPS unit owned and operated by SWITCH. All devices at the PoP "Tierspital" are now feeded only by main power.

The UPS has been replaced by a new device. The power redundancy has been restored according the common setup.

Deltanet will replace the two Sorrento power supplys and bring the defective UPS-Module tomorrow to SWITCH Headoffice in Zurich.

It's seems that also the two Sorrento power supply that where feeded by UPS are defective. It' was not possible to bring them up after connectig them to the main feed.

After investigation results that UPS is down. Management router and switch has been attached to main feed. Management access has been restored.

Called Uni Bern staff: they don't have any problem at the PoP "Tierspital". We asked Uni Bern to perform on-site investigation.
