The term "net neutrality" refers to the equal treatment of data transferred via the Internet. How do people feel about this in Switzerland? Do they want Internet providers to be free to determine their own offering, or do they believe it is more important to guarantee equal treatment so as to ensure that the Internet remains innovative? A working group set up by the federal government has been looking into these questions and more. A new report published by the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) sets out the various opinions and the reasoning behind them. SWITCH was among the contributors. The report is available in German, with French and Italian translations released at the end of 2014.
