Problem Description:The customer ITIS Zürich is unreachable. The SWITCH access router swiITIS2 in not responding.
Affected:From 2011-09-29 12:04 until 2011-09-29 12:09
Impact: Total loss of connectivity
Service: network access
The new router is running stable since more than 24 hours. Closing ticket.
The router has been successfuly replaced.
The faulty device swiITIS2 is going to replaced tomorrow between 12:15 and 12:45.
Together with the customer the access cables have been moved to the second port section of the switch. The connectivity has been restored. It's obvious that the first 12 ports are defective and the faulty switch is going be replaced tomorrow.
Called ITIS local IT staff and asked to power cycle the SWITCH router. After the power-cycle the router was reachable again, however the first section of 12 ethernet ports remained down (err-disabled).
