The Connectome project

Building the ecosystem for linked open research data in Switzerland

Connecting open research data (ORD) to make it accessible, interoperable and valuable for research, education and innovation.

Open data is essential for research, education and innovation. However, scattered across various locations, open data cannot be easily found and used by service providers supporting scientific communities and citizens. To foster the use of open data and facilitate the development of ORD practices, the Connectome project is creating a new research infrastructure.

The Research Data Connectome will increase the findability, interoperability and reusability of open data and its impact on scholarly research and citizen science. By connecting data and service providers, this new research infrastructure contributes to the realisation of the Swiss National Open Research Data Strategy.
