Ticket Description: Access to University of Geneva interrupted

Problem Description:

SWITCH NOC noticed that both access to the University of Geneva are not sending routing updates. Both BGP sessions are down.
Therefore no traffic is passing to/from UniGE. The physical access interfaces on swiGE1 and swiGE2 are operational, but no traffic is flowing.

Now also the backup peering on swiGE1 has been re-established. We advised the customer to perform a primary/backup switchover test.

The primary BGP peering on swiGE2 with UniGE is up.
The backup BGP peering on swiGE1 is still down.
