As the industrial and logistics sector is embracing digital transformation, it is faced by a complex and ever-growing threat situation. Organizational complexities, the use of vulnerable third-party systems as well as production facilities that are not designed to be resilient against cyberattacks provide cybercriminals with opportunities to exploit vulnerabilities. Theft of intellectual property and a disruption in the production are the greatest cyber risks for the sector. Rely on an independent and transparent Swiss CERT

SWITCH operates one of two national CERTs and, according to the Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP), is part of Switzerland’s critical infrastructure. It was established in 1994 and was one of the first CERTs in Switzerland to be internationally recognized in 1996. The National Research and Education Network (NREN), a backbone with more than a quarter of a million active devices, and the registration of .ch and .li domain names are also among the critical infrastructures operated by SWITCH.
