Problem Description:In coordination with our optical equipment manufacturer it is decided to perform a series of "soft reset" in 78 ROADMs spread in our network. It was recently observed some of those ROADMs are not reacting as expected regarding path protection, hence we are prioritizing this maintenance for this week.
These "soft resets" are not traffic affecting. However, if the "soft reset" does not resolve the issues, we will proceed with a "hard reset" (reboot).
All these actions will be sequential, so no network-wide impact is expected.
No service interruption is expected, hence please contact us in such a case.
Flaps might be observed, while ROADMs switch between primary and secondary paths.
The resets have been done successfully without any traffic hit.
