Problem Description:

New 100 Gb/s access links between EPFL and SWITCHlan will be put into service, replacing the existing 10Gb/s links.

During the activation of the new access links, traffic will be switched between primary and backup interfaces. This could cause short interruptions and possibly blocking of ongoing connections.

The access was successfully moved over to EPFL's new 100G-capable campus perimeter infrastructure in several steps. There was a brief interruption of traffic between 06:34 and 06:45.

Both the active (primary) and backup (secondary) links are now at 100 Gb/s. The old 10 Gb/s links are still available as a fallback. We will observe the new connection for several days/weeks before cleaning them up.
