Ticket Description: Unexpected loss of connectivity to one of our routers at SNSF

Problem Description:

We lost contact with swiSNF2.switch.ch, one of SWITCHlan's access routers at the Swiss National Science Fund. The site is still reachable through the other router (swiSNF1).

Our contact at SNSF confirmed that the power interruption was due to maintenance work by the electrical utility company, and that connection continued to be available throughout the outage via our secondary router.

Tried to call SNSF contacts to check whether this is due to known maintenance work, but couldn't reach anyone.
