Problem Description:
EWZ has announced a fiber maintenance in Zurich, where they have to move the optical fiber cables due to a construction project by city of Zurich. The connection will be interrupted for approximately 8 hours and there will be no redundancy for the services below.Affected:

After talking to EWZ, they confirmed that the maintenance happened, and the cable was cut. We did not see any impact during the concerned time frame. Our current assumption is that the impact site is in a section of the same cable that doesn't concern SWITCH. We will clear this up with EWZ in the coming days, but as for this ticket: No future impact is expected since the work is done, and we will close it now.

Reviewing our logs we can find no evidence of this 8 hour interruption. We inquired with the fiber provider to find out if the maintenance was performed.
