SIG AI in Teaching and Learning
SIG Leaders : Jeff Van de Poël, Stefano Tardini, Thomas Steiner
This SIG responds to the growing demand from Swiss higher education institutions for shared AI frameworks in education. It covers AI-powered learning environments, personalised learning, literacy, ethical dimensions and the evolving role of educators in augmented curricula. The SIG also serves as the Eduhub+ monitoring group for trends, providing input to the Digital Learning Observatory pillar.
Swiss Academic Moodle Community
SIG Leaders : Camille Tardy, Christoph Möhl
SAMoo, the Swiss Academic Moodle Community, is an informal network that brings together Swiss universities around the use of Moodle. It promotes the exchange of technical and pedagogical best practices among e-learning specialists. SAMoo coordinates joint projects and develops solutions tailored to the Swiss context, such as SWITCH edu-ID. It also aims to represent a unified voice at national and international levels. Finally, SAMoo supports the sharing of resources, plugin development and collaboration between institutions.
SIG E-Assessment
SIG Leaders : Tobias Halbherr, Omar Benkacem
The SIG e-Assessment advocates for digital assessment solutions, organises workshops and brings together experts from Swiss higher education institutions. It covers the entire assessment lifecycle — from item design and exam delivery to integrity, accessibility and automated feedback.
SIG Open Educational Resources
SIG Leaders : Maaike Kuurstra, Cinzia Gabelli
The SIG OER brings together individuals engaged in the conceptual and practical aspects of creating, sharing and reusing Open Educational Resources. It promotes a culture of open practice across Swiss higher education institutions, including licensing, repositories and co-developing guidance for educators.
The Eduhub+ Board comprises four elected members and a Switch representative. It enables quick and strategic decision-making regarding the programme’s vision and next steps. The board shares this vision with the council and defines guidelines that ensure the effective progress of its activities.
