Work for Switch

In our exciting work environment, we connect universities, the free market economy, research and services. We have been operating and protecting the .ch and .li domains and other critical digital infrastructure since the early days of the internet. Experienced specialists in the areas of cyber security, digital identities and the use of research data work hand in hand here. With our expertise, together we facilitate and accelerate digital developments for the Swiss education, research and innovation community and other customers.

We are constantly growing and looking for new talent. You can expect exciting and meaningful tasks with plenty of room for creativity here. We also offer attractive opportunities for personal development – both on and off the job. Join our team and help us to shape the digital services of the future!

The benefits for you

We offer you numerous perks and opportunities for further development. We invest in you and your skills! Because you help us to ensure we are well positioned as an organisation and allow us to support our customers in the best possible way.

Attractive working models

Work in a way that suits you. We offer you part-time models, the opportunity to work from home, flexible working hours, full compensation for overtime and the option to work abroad for a limited period. You can also take up to six months of unpaid leave by arrangement.

Personal development

We support your continuous development, whether it's 'on the job', 'off the job', or through attending conferences. We also contribute towards the costs of courses and/or the time you need for your further education. A temporary reduction in your working hours is also possible

Flexible pensions

Choose the pension fund model that best suits your current life situation. You can switch to another model at the end of each year without incurring additional costs.

Parental leave on 100% pay

We offer female employees 16 weeks and male employees two weeks of parental leave on full pay.

Subsidised meals

If you work full-time, you get up to CHF 180 per month for your meals with the Lunchcheck card.

Private accident insurance

We take out private accident insurance for you. The costs of outpatient and inpatient treatment in a private ward are covered – all over the world

Internet and public transport

We also contribute towards your home office internet costs and public transport travelcard. And speaking of the latter, your workplace is super centrally located and easily accessible by public transport.

Leave

We offer you five weeks of leave, increasing to six weeks from the age of 50. Help us fill vacancies and we’ll reward you with a bonus.

Free beverages

Enjoy the free drinks on offer when you take a break in our modern cafeteria.

At Switch, I particularly appreciate the flexibility and the meaningful work in a cooperative and fuss-free environment. Major advantages include the healthy work-life balance, the benefits and the support, both in the job itself and further education.

Developing innovative digital solutions is what motivates me every day.
From my very first day here, I’ve received a warm welcome and been integrated into the company. Switch has an open work culture, and my colleagues share valuable expertise with me every day. The diverse skills and knowledge of my colleagues are impressive.
Switch supports me in my personal and professional development. I’m more than just a resource; I’m also treated as a human, with my own unique personality and opinions. All of this spurs me on and makes me proud to be a SWITCHie.

Switch is a great place to work with a rich and very dynamic culture. I have met so many talented people with an amazing passion for work, who are always ready to share their knowledge.
What I love the most is the freedom to create a way of working that fits best for me and the opportunity to work in multiple projects, which makes my job very diverse and helps me to advance.
I consider myself fortunate to be a part of the Swiss education and research network.
